Cast Iron Valves

Cast Iron (also known as Gray Iron) material is relatively easy and inexpensive to make. It has lower tensile strength and lower ductility.
In close grained cast iron, a large part or all of the carbon is in the form of flakes or nodules of graphite.
Cast Iron material is used where tensile strength is non-critical. The valves made out of cast iron material are widely used in fluid handling systems for river water irrigation and sewerage systems, public ultilities, water lines and industrial plants.
